We are from several countries for example Holland, Germany, Brazil, Bolivia, Malaysia, Italy, USA and Spain.
Halloween is a tradition that originated in Europe over a hundred years ago. People carve faces in pumpkins and decorate their homes for Halloween. Halloween is on October 31st of every year. Children go house and say “trick or treat”.
It’s a special day for children because they get lots of candy.
For Halloween people wear costumes in the tradition.
Halloween is a spooky holiday; we read a short story about Frankenstein and watched Michael Jacksons’ “Thriller”. We made a poster with bats and pumpkins and things related to Halloween. A student of English 3 made a title for the poster we made themed for Halloween. She is an artist from Brazil.
English 1A, 1C and 2D made some pumpkins and ghosts with some new vocabulary, too.
We learned about history of this tradition.
