This week we travel to Unitated States of America. They are celebrating Halloween.

Halloween is on October 31st. Halloween is a big celebration for children in the USA and Canada. On Halloween, children dress up in costumes. They are monsters, famous people, ghosts, witches and pirates.

In the evening, children walk from house to house shouting “trick or treat” and people give them sweets. People decorate their houses with pictures of black cats, witches, bats or ghosts.

The most famous symbol of Halloween is the Jack O’ Lantern. Jack O’ Lantern is a pumpkin with a candle inside. Halloween is fantastic!

A les classes d’educació física hem començat a treballar l’expressió corporal. Com a primera sessió i, per perdre una mica la vergonya, hem improvisat una desfilada de models amb diferents teles, disfresses i altres materials que hem trobat. Els nens i nenes s’ho han passat super bé i han demostrat tenir molt poca vergonya i molta imaginació.

APRENENTATGE DE LA LECTURA I L’ESCRIPTURA

“Només podrem desenvolupar de manera significativa els processos que intervenen tant en el llegir com en l’escriure si posem als nens i les nenes en situacions d’ús real de la lectura i l’escriptura.”

(Fons,1999:24).

Autors com Montessori (1987), Fons (1999),Boixaderas (2007),Teberosky (1979), han definit l’aprenentatge de la lectura i l’escriptura com un procés complex i individual, en que cada infant segueix el seu ritme, el qual no condiciona el seu futur com a lector i escriptor. Tots ells coincideixen en situar una franja d’edat àmplia i adequada per aprendre a llegir i escriure que és aproximadament entre els quatre i els set anys.

“El primer coneixement de la llengua escrita no ha trobat encara cap intinerari més ric, més colorit i més atractiu que el d’un llibre de contes. Els contes són encara ara, la primera matèria per als primers col·loquis entre mare i fill. Les seves paraules tenen un sentit, un pes, un gruix inigualable, perquè han estat fixades una per una, en un procés de creació col·lectiu, únic al món per la seva durada i complexitat.
