Aquest curs 2025-2026 comptarem amb un auxiliar de conversa al nostre centre, gràcies al programa finançat pel Ministeri d’Educació i Formació Professional i la Generalitat de Catalunya.

De l’octubre a finals de maig, un nadiu del nord d’Anglaterra donarà suport a l’alumnat d’ESO i Batxillerat per millorar les seves competències orals en anglès i descobrir aspectes culturals del seu país.

També col·laborarà en els projectes Erasmus i eTwinning del centre.

The Educational Impact of a Conversation Assistant in Secondary Education

The incorporation of a conversation assistant within Secondary Education constitutes a valuable pedagogical asset for both students and teaching staff. This figure enhances the development of communicative competence in English by fostering authentic interaction, oral fluency, and intercultural awareness. Through regular engagement with the assistant, students are exposed to diverse linguistic models and communicative strategies, which complement and extend the formal instruction received in the classroom.

For the teaching team, the presence of the assistant facilitates the diversification of methodologies, the implementation of innovative practices, and the design of learner-centered activities. This collaborative approach strengthens the work carried out by the Foreign Languages Department, aligning with broader educational objectives that promote plurilingualism and global citizenship.

This text inaugurates a series of academic articles that will document and reflect upon the pedagogical initiatives of the Departament de Llengües Estrangeres – Anglès with the active involvement of the conversation assistant throughout the current academic year.
