Merry Xmas 2018

We are the students of English 2.

The Christmas cookies were very good. Thank you to the teachers for bringing the cookies. Thanks to the teachers for helping us remember the spirit of Christmas.

We started vocabulary about Christmas. I am happy this is my last Christmas in prison. We watched a video about Christmas and we enjoyed it.

I miss my family and I am sad to be so far from my family. I am sad to be here again for Christmas. I am bored and alone in here. I don’t like Christmas in jail. It’s depressing and heart breaking to be separate from my family and children. I am homesick.

We wish you Merry Xmas. Hoping that 2019 will be better.

Wonder

We are students from English level 2.

Last week we watched a movie called “Wonder”.

The movie was very beautiful. It was a story about a child with a disfigured face.

At the school, some students bullying him because he was different from them.

A friend of him helped to increase his confidence. He has a lovely family who helped him, too.

He had a space helmet for cover his face.

This movie gave us a beautiful and inspiring message: your face is your face, don’t discriminate others.

Thanksgiving day 2018

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Thanksgiving is a national holiday in the United States and Canada. It has been a national holiday since 1863. It started in 1621 when the pilgrims and the Native Americans did an exchange dinner over the course of three days.

We were teased with hopes and dreams of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, American football, beer and most of all pumpkin pie with whipped cream.

We were denied our Black Friday shopping as everything we studied, saw on video and researched was ripped away from us as we cried.

Students from English 2 coloured some turkeys. They are from Brazil and Chile.

Our next article will be written to you in more sadness at Christmas time  🙁 .

See you then…
