Celebrating is always a good idea!

This week we’ve learnt and had fun while celebrating one of the most iconic festivities in English speaking countries: Halloween. The tradition of Halloween on October 31st comes from the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. It celebrates the Celtic New Year and they celebrated it on 1st November because that was the end of summer and harvest time (life) and the beginning of winter (death). We’ve celebrated it by decorating our classrooms, carrying out activities to learn about this tradition and a treasure hunt to top it off! Happy Halloween everyone!!
