SKETCHING BIRDS!

Today in Alicies we have talked about birds. We had a conversationa about assumtions that are common in all birds such as: all birds have feathers or all birds lay eggs. Some assumtions we knew but were kind of triky like for example: Some birds can’t fly but they can swim very well.

Finally we skeched a bird with pencil then we coloured using water colours and finally we outlined the drawing with a marker.

The feelings volcano

We have watched a short story and some others videos about our emotions and feelings to understand better the volcano that is inside each of us. We have learned how to name emotions and feelings in English. Recognising and discussing feelings allows for the development of good communication skills and empathy with others.

Wave your hand like…

We have learnt how the characters of Alice in Wonderland act. They do some acts that we can imitate learning English through movement.

Besides, we have discussed about their dialogues extracted from the original book.

It has been a good day in Wonderland.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2020!

We have celebrated Christmas these days at school, making some Christmas cards, watching Christmas stories and singing some Christmas carols and songs. A very special time to be celebrated with friends at school and with family at home. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2020!

Introductory activity to our project about volcanoes

Today, half of the group have been doing oral conversation with our language assistant, Jenny. Besides the other half have started working on their community project about volcanoes.

After a brainstorming some words have come up, like mountain, fire, lava, magma, eruption…

We have watched a song they already knew very well, but this time in English.

Finally, we have followed the instructions that this artist and his son share with us, drawing an exploding volcano.
