Xerrada online sobre la transició del batxillerat a la universitat

El passat divendres 22 de gener va tenir lloc la xerrada online sobre la transició del Batxillerat als estudis universitaris. L’activitat va ser organitzada pel SAE (Servei d’Atenció a l’Esportista) i l’Institut del CAR.

Aquesta xerrada es fa cada any dirigida a l’alumnat que cursa segon de batxillerat amb l’objectiu d’orientar i ajudar en la transició acadèmica cap a l’universitat. Amb aquesta activitat es vol ajudar a que els nostres estudiants reflexionin sobre els compromisos a adquirir per afrontar la futura nova etapa amb la que es trobaran.

 

GEP (Generació Plurilingüe): A Black Lives Matter project in English

Christmas 2020 ended at INS CAR with the visit of our previous American assistant teacher,
Jing Gao (we miss you Jing!!). She could admire our work in progress on a current issue: the
Black Lives Matter movement and Black History in the United States.
Our 4 ESO students have been working in groups both in the Social Studies and the English
class; they have analysed films, songs, news and historical documents on this matter. The final
product has been a timeline showing the main protagonists of the US Civil Rights Movement
and wonderful posters that can be seen in the English Corner. The students’ feedback has
been highly positive: the majority find it motivating to work and investigate in groups on a
specific subject. Their teachers, Judit and Carme, are proud of their work. Well done!!

Us desitgem que tingueu una bona entrada d’any i juntament amb aquests desitjos us presentem una bonica postal de felicitació de Nadal. És la guanyadora del concurs fet entre l’alumnat d’ESO del nostre centre.

La Terra en un icosaedre.

El i les alumnes de 1r d’ESO en l’assignatura de Socials hem fet un icosaedre representant un mapa mundi amb el seu volum.

Vam començar dibuixant el perfil dels continents i a continuació vam enumerar diferents elements físics (serralades, rius, peninsules, deserts, illes…) de diversos continents en una llegenda. Vam pintar-lo. Després vam tallar les formes del icosaedre, vam doblegar els triangles i amb silicona vam enganxar tots els costats. Finalment el vam penjar al sostre amb un fil. Juntament amb les decoracions de Nadal quedarà molt bonic.

REUNIÓ DE DELEGATS I DELEGADES DE L’INS CAR

La setmana passada es van portar a terme les diferents reunions amb els representants de cada curs. L’objectiu d’aquestes reunions és fomentar la participació entre l’alumnat i crear un bon clima de comunicació quant a centre. Els delegats i delegades de cada curs havien d’aportar a la reunió tres aspectes positius del centre i tres aspectes a millorar que havien treballat prèviament a les tutories amb el suport dels tutors i tutores. A cada reunió va assistir el Cap d’Estudis de cada un dels diferents estudis que es realitzen al centre, juntament amb la directora, a més del tutor de residència del CAR, en el cas de la reunió d’ESO i Batxillerat, Javi Vega. Tots els temes exposats per part de l’alumnat van tenir una resposta a la reunió o la tindran posteriorment a través de les tutories. Agraïm la participació dels delegats i delegades i la seva implicació. Totes les reunions es van realitzar seguint les mesures de seguretat.

 

Dia internacional per a l’eliminació de la violència envers les dones

El passat 25 de novembre es va realitzar al nostre institut un acte amb motiu del “Dia Internacional  en contra de la violència envers les dones”. En aquest acte es van fer diferents activitats, com el visionat d’un vídeo, la lectura d’un manifest, l’el·laboració de murals, un ball reivindicatiu en format Tik-Tok i un minut de silenci per les víctimes.

Aprenent les tècniques bàsiques així com els aspectes metodològics i de seguretat de cada una de les activitats.

English Corner

At Institut del CAR we have recently renewed our English Corner (thanks Cristina González!). We find ourselves on our third year of GEP project -Generació Plurilingüe- and we are looking forward to future contributions from the Visual Arts, the Social Studies, the Natural Science and the Math Departments among others. Our students are doing great at English!

 

INS CAR student Blanca del Arco is enjoying a 2-month Erasmus + internship in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. Congratulations, Blanca!

Hello! I am Blanca from Spain (Barcelona), currently staying in Macedonia, living an amazing life, enjoying the benefits this country offers and discovering new cultures and a new way of living for the very first time, learning to live by myself and with my Erasmus classmates whom I have just met when I came here.

I feel very lucky and privileged for this opportunity, to experience all I want, at my young age, right now, to discover the world by new cultures, people, languages, to improve my skills in different fields, and many other things that create the life experience, to be a more complete person.

After this experience, I expect to continue traveling and discovering the world that we live in, along with discovering new parts of myself, how I deal with new situations that occur.

I want to encourage everyone to join some projects like this. I think it is important to gain and share new experiences, different points of view, of different countries and learn about a culture that you have never seen before, for evolving as a human being. I feel that everyone should learn to live unattached, in order to learn the best of life and the people we meet, to be a more complete person, to connect with the world and nature in which we live, and learn how to respect.

I hope my article will inspire someone to truly find a path to follow in their lives and be able to make their own decisions, with all the possible knowledge of the world around them. Be wise and seek for knowledge, `cause knowledge is power, freedom, evolution…
