Working on Classical Conditioning in Sociology and Psychology

Before the Easter break students, from our 2nd Batx Sociology and Psychology elective subject focused on a learning process named “classical conditioning”, discovered by the russian psychologist Ivan Pavlov.

All students were put into groups of 4/5 and were given a cartoon which illustrated the four stages of the learning process. In each stage, there was a picture of Pavlov and the students had to write a short explanation of what was going on in that particular stage.

There were also three empty squares in which students had to stick a bell, a bone or some saliva drops, depending on the stage of the experiment. Each group got four pictures of the experiment and the following labels: 3 bells, 2 bones and 3 saliva drops.

It was a very visual and entertaining activity!
