During the first academic term, Second of ESO students in INS Bitàcola designed and created a photo journal about their holidays. They also had the chance to design and perform their theatre play, which is based on the book they read in class, “An Eskimo adventure” written by Katherine Daniels.
Photojournal
Students did a pictorial photographic presentation of their summer holidays. They reviewed past simple, and a wide range of vocabulary. Content and design were important elements for the final creation.
Puppet Theatre play
Students drew, and painted the most representative landscapes of the book, and constructed the theatre scenario and puppets. They learned the vocabulary involved, enabling them to establish the content, and write the dialogue for the different scenes. This lesson contributed to extend their foreign language knowledge and have stronger creative thinking.
