Connexió amb el vaixell Rainbow “Greenpeace”

The 24th of April, a virtual visit to the sailing vessel Rainbow Warrior was organized  by the INB English teachers and all the students and teachers from the Nautical Department were invited to join the conference.

Karin, the Second Officer from Finland, showed us all the navigation and communication instruments in the bridge of this ship, built in 2011 in the Fassmer shipyard. The Rainbow Warrior is at present  in Cuxhaven, a small port at the mouth of the river Elba, in Germany. The ship is in warm laid up, which means that it is moored and  it has stopped all the operations due to the Corona Virus pandemic. They just do maintenance work.

In these days of confinement, having the chance to travel virtually to this port and visit the ship, was an opportunity for us to open our windows for a while outside from home, where we are locked since the 13th of March.

This video conference was joined by a number of students and teachers from the INB. We hope everybody enjoyed the visit as much as we did preparing it!
