Last week Matildes had a surprise… They received a letter from a student in the High school! To be able to answer the letter, they learned the typical expressions to write a letter in English like “It was great to hear from you”, “all the best”, “how are things” or “XOXO”. With the list of expressions at hand and with the help of the dictionary and a checklist, all Matildes wrote their letters. It was quite an experience!
Last week we watched the play “Robin, princess of the hoods” and this week it was the turn to give the opinion about it. Students had to write a text! They thought it was difficult but, with some scaffolding, they discovered it is very easy to write in English. By the way, nearly all of the students said they really liked the show!
Last week all the children from Mitjans and Grans had the opportunity to enjoy with a new theatre version of Robin. Robin was a rich girl that discovered that her parents’ factory was contaminanting the river.
The students had a good time singing the songs and following Robin’s adventures but the best moment was when three students got on stage and participated in the Garret’s Catwalk. How fun!
