The second-year ESO students worked on two topics in English. The first was about horoscopes, and the second one was about the USA and Scotland, two English-speaking countries.
In the third lesson, we explored different horoscopes and their reliability. We learned about each other’s horoscopes and worked on the future tenses “will” and “be going to.” Finally, we created a poster in groups with invented predictions about two different zodiac signs. It was such a fun way to practice future tenses!
For the fourth lesson, we were given a book about the USA or Scotland that we had to read carefully and complete its activities. Once we had finished the activities, we summarised each chapter and shared our thoughts with the rest of the class. Our final task was to create a tourist guide.

Aquest 2n trimestre, l’alumnat de 2n d’ESO s’ha endinsat al món dels horòscops i han conegut una mica més sobre els Estats Units i Escòcia, dos països de parla anglesa.
Els primers mesos, vam explorar els diferents horòscops i la seva fiabilitat. Vam investigar sobre les característiques dels nostres signes i comentar-ne la seva fiabilitat. També vam treballar els temps verbals de futur “will” i “be going to”. Per tancar el projecte, vam crear un pòster amb prediccions inventades i rituals sobre dos dels signes del zodíac. Va ser una manera molt divertida i entretinguda de practicar els temps de futur!
A la següent unitat, ens hem endinsat a la cultura d’Escòcia i dels Estats Units. En parelles, hem llegit un llibre i hem hagut de resumir cada capítol i fer una sèrie d’activitats. Això ens ha permès treballar la comprensió i expressió escrita a la vegada. Com a tasca final, hem creat unes guies turístiques molt pràctiques i vistoses!
