From our perspective as a rural school, we continue working with Minimons for another year. With this practice, we can value our environment and promote the use of open-ended materials. We develop Minimons through a wide range of themes, from the seasons of the year and everyday situations to more distant realities, such as countries around the world. Through this proposal, we support children’s free creation and imagination, connecting play with both their immediate context and a more global view. Minimons allow us to foster meaningful learning using simple and sustainable resources, while respecting each child’s rhythm, interests and ways of thinking.
