Although in our institution we teach several studies (from Baccalaureate to Baccalaureate courses), the first step of our international strategy will help our higher education students find compulsory partners and companies in their professional training. The higher education we offer in our school is about sports activities and physical education.
The main objective of our institution is to provide our students with a practice abroad to increase their knowledge of what has been taught to them. Now we focus only on the practices and not on the mobility of the study due to our minimal experience in sending student outings. According to our students’ aims and our international partners, the strategy could become a complete long-term mobility.
Given that our studies are the FP of Higher Physical Education, the future partners that we are looking for should be a company related to sport. Keeping in mind that the company will not replace an employee because it will only have the internship student. The student is still in training and needs help for their own development. The partner must be an assistant / evaluator of the duties and capacities of the student.
Our students can work as:
– A sports instructor, in sports centres, summer camps, hotels, etc.
– A fitness instructor at a gym or sports club.
– In the sports administration department of a company.
The first stage will be to look for partners in Europe. However, language can be an impediment considering that most of our students only speak English / French as a foreign language.
For our students, completing their internships will give them an interesting personal experience of working abroad and a new vision of how things could be done in different ways. They will continue their learning process, obtaining a learning outcome with added value.
