In Social studies of 2nd of ESO we had been studying the origin of the Catalan counties in the middle ages and we did the following writing activity: Imagine you are Count Borrell II, Guifré el Pelós’s grandson. Write a letter to the Frankish king Hug Capet to express your disappointment for his disloyalty and explaining the reasons why you are not going to pledge loyalty to him anymore. The results were impressive!
