Regular verbs conjugation

The simple past is used to describe an action that occurred and was completed in the past. The Simple past is formed by adding ed to the verb (the  infinitive without to).

Questions and answers

Remember that when answering a question in simple past, the answer is in simple past too. Look at the following examples:

Did you go to the cinema yesterday?  Yes, I did.  /  No, I didn’t.

Did she play basketball on Thursday?  Yes, she did.  /  No, she didn’t.

Did they study English yesterday afternoon?  Yes, she did.  /  No, she didn’t.

 

Be careful! In present simple, we always add an “s” to he, she it but in past simple it doesn’t exist! 🙂
