This term we are doing a project on gender equality at school in order to raise awareness of the existing educational gap between girls and boys, not only in underdeveloped countries but also here in Europe. We’ve been discussing the reasons of this problem and have been trying to come up with ways of solving it.
One of the tasks the students have undertaken is to create a collaborative interactive word map about women who succeeded in stereotipically masculine fields, such as science, politics, culture, etc. The word maps, still in progress, have been created using PADLET, an app which enables students to post and organize their articles, adding external links, presentations, videos and documents. Aquest trimestre estem fent un projecte sobre Igualtat de gènere a l’escola per tal de donar a conèixer la bretxa educativa existent entre nenes i nens, no només en països subdesenvolupats, sinó també aquí a Europa. Hem discutit els motius d’aquest problema i hem intentat plantejar solucions.
Una de les tasques que han realitzat els estudiants és crear un mapa conceptual interactiu, fet de manera col·laborativa, sobre dones que han tingut èxit en camps estereotipadament masculins, com ara ciència, política, cultura, etc. Els mapes conceptuals, encara en progrés, s’han creat amb PADLET, un aplicació que permet als estudiants publicar i organitzar els seus articles, tot afegint enllaços externs, presentacions, vídeos i documents.
