Affirmative sentences
There is a –> There is a red pepper. (consonants)
(Singular) an –> There is an aubergine. (vowels)
There are some –> There are some cherries.
(plural) lots of –> There are lots of grapes.
number –> There are three pineapples.
Negative sentences
There isn’t a –> There isn’t a red pepper. (cons.)
(singular) an –> There isn’t an avocado. (vowels)
There aren’t any –> There aren’t any cherries.
(plural) number –> There aren’t three pineapples.
Questions
Is there a…? –> Yes, there is. / No, there isn’t.
Are there any…? –> Yes, there are. / No, there aren’t.
Be careful! We change the order of the sentence!
