Primary 6 students made groups and each group planted two runner bean seeds in a pot, in April. While they were planting the seeds they were explaining the steps. Then, students predicted orally what would happen, using the language support. Once a week, for three weeks, students observed the pots and made observations about them. After three weeks, they compared what they thought would happen and what really happened, and they explained it to the other groups. Finally, they did a self-assessment.
