The 6th graders from our school are finishing the Global Scholars program called this year “Food, Cities, and Our Future”.
We had to create a Community Action Project to address a food security issue in our environment. We detected that many students bring too much packaging when having breakfast like: juice carton, foil paper, crisp bags, … As we pollute the Earth, we decided to do a project at school to promote the use of less package: ZERO PACKAGE MONDAY by singing a rap. In addition, at the canteen we have bins where we throw away the food we don’t eat. We are creating more waste every day and if this habit continues, the total amount of wasted food increases over time. So we weight the food waste to raise awareness about this topic.
