Es diu Haruki! Li encanta el grup de youtubers “Comdot”! I el “peix volador” és el seu plat preferit! I… com és que hi ha una estació espacial a Tanegashima?
Aquestes són algunes de les observacions dels nostres alumnes de 3r d’ESO, que acaben de rebre les cartes d’estudiants del Japó. Les diferències culturals i la distància entre els dos països no representen cap barrera gràcies a l’ús de l’anglès com a llengua de comunicació i dels dispositius digitals a l’aula.
En les properes setmanes i mesos, es faran més col·laboracions per compartir la història, diferències i similituds entre països per a una millor comprensió de les Ciències Socials.
D’aquesta manera, els estudiants guanyen conscienciació global mentre treballen competències de col·laboració amb projectes transversals, significatius i interculturals.

These are some of the remarks of our 3rd ESO students, who have just got the letters from their pen pal students in Japan. The cultural differences and spaces barriers become meaningless with the use of English as language of communication and also digital devices in the classroom.
Further collaboration and video exchanges will take place in the coming weeks and months to share their personal stories with each other and discuss differences and similarities between countries for a better understanding of the Social Studies.
This way, students are able grow global awareness and collaboration skills by facilitating authentic, cross-cultural PBL experiences.
