Com tots els anys, els alumnes de 3r d’ESO han de estudiat les potències i les seves propietats. Aquest any, hem fet uns murals per explicar quina magnitud tenen les potències, sobretot quan els exponents són molt grans i bases molt petites amb dos problemes:
- Quants plecs necessitem per arribar a la lluna?
- Quant costa el taulell d’escacs?
A més, per entendre el problema, en grups de 3 o 4, han fet una pàgina web per poder explicar bé els enunciats i com l’han resolt.
Com des de fa uns anys i gràcies a la bona feina feta per la coordinació GEP, hem treballat aquest tema amb dues llengües: el català i l’anglès. Per això, hem rebut l’assessorament del departament de llengües per poder crear les pàgines webs en anglès (i també hem fet una versió en català)

As we do every year, students from 3rd ESO have studied the powers and their properties. This year, we’ve made some murals to explain which magnitude powers have, mainly when they have high exponents and the bases are low. We’ve studied so from two driving questions:
- How many folds do we need to reach the moon?
- How much is a chessboard?
Besides, students have worked in groups of 3-4 to understand the challenge and they have designed a web page to explain the formulation clearly and to solve it.
As a GEP centre, we’ve worked with it both in Catalan and English. That’s why we’ve counted on the Foreign Languages Department to design the web pages in English.
