On Monday 13th of June 2022 the 3rd ESO students have celebrated the FOOD FEST’22. After the pandemic years, finally we have been able to enjoy such a delicious and special festival again. A project which combines English, cooking and digital skills.
All students, by teams of 2 to 4 members each, must choose a dish or dessert to cook and show how they have done it. It’s a project which takes several weeks of work. First, students learnt some new food vocabulary, they all did it great!. Second, they had to write a script for a video where to show how to cook the dish, they have done it in English, of course!, so they also had to practice their pronunciation. They have done a recipe poster with the digital design tool canvas. And finally, they had to work hard with the cooking, of course!
In the FOOD FEST DAY, we have seen all the videos recorded. All groups have brought their dishes and an expert jury, formed by Lidia (the maths teacher but also with oenologist skills) and Ismael (the best eater at our high school!), has deliberated about taste, appearance and cooking. Alba (the English teacher) has added some marks about the poster and the video edition (digital skills) and also speaking & pronunciation.
Finally, then we have got the PODIUM for FOOD FEST 2022:
1st prize: CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES by Nhama, Lua and Noa.
2nd prize: RED FRUIT CAKE by Àngela, Noa and Chloé
3rd prize: ex aequao. CREPES by Adrià A, and Adrià C. and BLUE VELVET CAKE by Meï and Carmen
