Avui acomiadem la Sidney, la nostra auxiliar de conversa, que acaba la seva estada al nostre centre. Des de l’octubre, la Sidney ha acompanyat els grups de 5è i 6è, ajudant-los en el seu dia a dia a les sessions d’anglès i organitzant presentacions, activitats i tallers per promoure l’ús de la llengua oral i per apropar-los aspectes culturals dels Estats Units. Festivitats, un dia a l’escola, esports, menjar… són alguns dels temes que ha compartit amb l’alumnat de manera lúdica i experiencial, tot fomentant la interacció oral.

Avui, en el seu últim dia, tot cicle superior ha sortit al pati per ballar linedance al ritme de la cançó “Cotton Eye Joe”, un ball típic estatunidenc que els va ensenyar fa unes setmanes. A més, li hem entregat un àlbum amb dibuixos i cartes plenes de missatges d’agraïment per totes les activitats que ens ha preparat durant el curs.

Gràcies, Sidney, per tot el que ens has aportat. Et trobarem molt a faltar!

Today we say goodbye to Sidney, our language assistant, who is finishing her stay at our school. Since October, Sidney has been with 5th and 6th grade, helping them in their daily English sessions and organizing presentations, activities, and workshops to promote the use of spoken language and to introduce them to cultural aspects of the United States. Festivals, a day at school, sports, food… these are some of the topics she has shared with the students in a fun and experiential way, encouraging oral interaction.

Today, on her last day, the entire Cicle Superior went to the playground to dance a linedance with the song “Cotton Eye Joe,” a typical American dance that she taught them a few weeks ago. Additionally, we gave her an album with drawings and letters full of messages of gratitude for all the activities she has prepared for us throughout the course.

Thank you, Sidney, for everything you have contributed with. We will miss you very much!
