Hello boys and girls? This week I’m going to recommend some activities for you to choose. You should do at least three activities for each lesson. Please send me your productions!
In this lesson we are going to talk about food. Are you hungry? What’s favourite food? ??????
First of all, go to the kitchen and look for the food you have in the cupboards and in the fridge. Can you write and draw the different food items?
In this video you will learn how to draw a kitchen. After drawing the kitchen, I would like you to describe it (it can be your real kitchen or a new one)
Here you have a grid to help you.
Here you have some flashcards: with this material you can play different games: online or printed. With the material printed you can match words and pictures. If you put the cards down you can play memory games. Otherwise, you can learn the words online and play some guessing games. You can play in pairs with a family member. Each one chooses one food item and you ask each other questions in order to know which food it is.

You can also make your own cards.
In order to continue learning I recommend an interactive game where you can challenge your brain.

Check the solutions:
What do British people eat? Here you have more cultural videos to compare and contrast routines and traditions from different countries. We already saw this video in another article.
Do you like cooking? In this video a boy will show you how to prepare 3 different types of breakfast.
Here you have a song you already know. Can you create new verses? Which strange dishes can you think of? Mix different food items and create new combinations.
You can also play a role game if you want. Use the menus provided or invent a new one.

This is story about a gingerbread man. Everyone wants to eat him. Do you like gingerbread biscuits? They are delicious and typical of Christmas (listen to the video just the first 8 minutes).
Let’s prepare a pizza. Decide the ingredients you want. Here you have a song it can inspire you.
Here it is a funny recipe in order how to make a pizza.
A little bit of CLIL. This a video that teaches you how the digestive system works.
Finally, you can make a delicious portrait following Giuseppe Arcimbolo steps, an Italian author who got inspired by fruit and vegetables.
I leave you with another art suggestion. You can use food catalogues and make a big food pyramid. Make it bigger and put the names. Which food group shouldn’t be eaten very often? You can also prepare a menu including food from all the groups for the different meals during the day: breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner.
Take care, enjoy and learn, my lovely kids!
