Have you ever heard about the book “The sun, the cloud and the lady with a hat”? If not, we highly recommend it to you. It is written by Elena Ribes Baquero, a young and enthusiastic writer who has recently visited our school. This story invites young reader to think about abilities like analyzing the situation and acting in the most appropriate way, accepting and correcting mistakes, and valuing teamwork as one of the bests paths to achieve great results.
Pupils from 5th and 6th grade have been reading this book during the last two weeks. It was a present from the town hall of Miralcamp and we have all enjoyed reading it.
It has been a rewarding experience and a great opportunity for all of us to be in direct contact with the writer of the book. We have had the chance to ask Elena many questions and we have learnt a lot of things about a writer’s life. We have also read part of the book together acting out the different characters that appear on it.
We would like to thank Elena Ribes her passionate visit. It has been really inspiring and she has created a wonderful atmosphere for engagement and great discussions. At the same time, we would also like to thank the town hall for providing us all the books. We like them very much!
