Els nostres alumnes de 2n d’ESO van fer recentment una emocionant excursió a Empòrion, l’única ciutat grega que es conserva a la península Ibèrica. Situada a la bella Costa Brava, Empòrion ofereix una visió única del passat, on els estudiants van passejar per les impressionants ruïnes de les civilitzacions grega i romana. Dirigits per un arqueòleg professional, la visita va proporcionar fascinants coneixements sobre la vida quotidiana, l’arquitectura i la cultura d’aquestes societats antigues. Mentre exploraven els carrers i les estructures ben conservades, els alumnes van desenvolupar una apreciació més profunda per la història i la importància d’Empòrion en la formació de la regió.
L’aventura no va acabar amb la visita! Després d’immergir-se en la rica història d’Empòrion, els estudiants van participar en un taller d’arqueologia realitzat en anglès. Armats amb eines i entusiasme, van assumir el paper d’arqueòlegs, excavant per trobar artefactes originals de l’època. Aquesta experiència pràctica els va permetre connectar amb la història de manera tangible, fomentant la curiositat i la passió per l’aprenentatge. En definitiva, l’excursió a Empúries va ser una experiència inoblidable que va combinar educació, exploració i emoció, enriquint la comprensió dels nostres alumnes sobre les cultures antigues.

Our 2nd ESO students recently embarked on an exciting day trip to Emporion, the only Greek city that has been preserved on the Iberian Peninsula. Nestled along the beautiful Costa Brava, Emporion offers a unique glimpse into the past, where students walked through the impressive ruins of both Greek and Roman civilizations. Led by a professional archaeologist, the tour provided fascinating insights into the daily lives, architecture, and culture of these ancient societies. As they explored the well-preserved streets and structures, students developed a deeper appreciation for history and the significance of Emporion in shaping the region.
The adventure didn’t end with the tour! After immersing themselves in the rich history of Emporion, the students participated in an engaging archaeology workshop conducted in English. Armed with tools and enthusiasm, they took on the role of archaeologists, digging for original artifacts from that era. This hands-on experience allowed them to connect with history in a tangible way, fostering curiosity and a passion for learning. Overall, the trip to Emporion was an unforgettable experience that combined education, exploration, and excitement, enriching our students’ understanding of ancient cultures.
