Genova – Italy

From the 21st to 25 th November, we visited the city of Genova in Italy. Our stay was in a hotel known as B&B located in Piazza Acquaverde. We had to take the tube or the bus to arrive at the school and we did some outdoor activities.

We spent the first day in Milano, before arriving to Genova. The city in general is very beautiful but we were impressed by the Duomo di Milano, a huge cathedral in the middle of the city center.

Then we travelled to Genova by train because it was the best means of transport for arriving at the hotel. There, we met with our partners from Portugal and Turkey. Macedonian partners were arriving late at night, so next morning we would meet them at breakfast time. And Italian pupils would be met in the school.

The first day we spent all day doing presentations and visiting the classes in the school called Istituto Comprensivo Marassi. We also visited the Sampdoria football stadium.

The second day we went for a walk to the City Harbour, then we visited the Acquario Genova. It was a nice day but the weather was very windy and rainy.

The third day was the most beautiful day because we traveled to Portofino,  a nice village next to the sea. We could see the harbour, an ancient sea lighthouse and the special views from the high part of the village.

The next morning we went to Molassana by bus. We visited the Aqueduct and walked around that green area. Later, we took the bus that took us to Genoa and there we could walk around downtown the city.

We met the host families every day and spent all the afternoon with them, doing different activities.

The last day, 25th of November, we went to the school for the final presentation and certificates ceremony. The final party was awesome, we went to a disco and there we could eat Italian food for dinner. We danced a lot and later at night we went back to rest at the hotel to prepare all the luggage for flying to Tortosa the next morning.
