Per tal de treballar els continguts de l’àrea d’anglès us proposem les següents activitats:
-
- Repassar els temps verbals que vam treballar a classe l’últim dia: verb to be, present simple, present continuous, can, etc.
Instructions:

-
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Heat 2 tsp. of the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add celery and carrots to the skillet and saute for 3-5 minutes to soften. Add in the onions and garlic and saute for 2 more minutes.
- While the veggies are cooking, warm the beef or vegetable stock in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Add 2 tbsp of broth to the vegetable mixture to deglaze the pan. Transfer the veggies to a bowl and set aside.
- Heat the remaining 2 tbsp of olive oil in the skillet over medium high heat.
- Add the ground beef or turkey to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes or until the meat is no longer pink.
- While the meat is cooking, prepare the mashed potatoes according to package directions.
- Turn the stove down to medium low heat and sprinkle the flour over the cooked meat. Stir together and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Add 1 1/2 cups warm stock to the beef and stir quickly to prevent lumps as the sauce can thicken quickly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes and then remove the skillet from the heat.
- Return the vegetable mixture to the skillet and add in the frozen peas. Stir to combine.
- Combine the mashed potatoes with the remaining 1/2 cup of stock and mix well.
- Spoon the beef and vegetable mixture into a 9×9 baking dish and gently spread the mashed potatoes over the top as evenly as possible.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, then turn the oven up to 400 degrees and bake for an additional 10 minutes to ensure that the vegetables have fully softened.
- Let cool slightly and garnish the top with finely chopped chives (optional).
