On Thursday the 2nd and Friday the 3rd of March we had a big celebration: English Day 2023! During two days, everyone in Salvador Espriu tried their best to speak in English and all the activities were in English, too. The little ones received a visit from a very special character, Paddington Bear. They learned all about him, his home in London and even tried some of his favourite food: marmalade sandwich. The older ones found out facts about the culture of different English-speaking countries and made fantastic posters to decorate the school and for everyone to learn more. This year we were able to do many activities mixing the groups, everyone was very happy to be in teams with children of all ages and levels. Pupils from Sixth and Fifth grade did a great job as group leaders and taking charge of the gymkhana. Together, we all played games from places around the world: Madagascar, Egypt, France, Mexico, China, Brazil, Italy and Argentina! We also danced, sang, learned and enjoyed ourselves very much. We went back to our classrooms with our suitcases filled with good memories, laughs and even a treasure.
