Dia 3 – Música, acollida i descobertes a Eslovènia*
El tercer dia del nostre viatge a Laško ha començat amb una sorpresa tan inesperada com emocionant. En arribar a l’escola, ens esperaven amb un concert de benvinguda que ens ha deixat meravellats. La coral del centre ens ha interpretat diverses cançons tradicionals eslovenes, plenes de sensibilitat i arrelament cultural. A més, un alumne de 9è curs (equivalent a 3r d’ESO) ens ha ofert una peça amb l’acordió, i una alumna ens ha fet participar activament fent-nos ballar amb una cançó popular. Ha estat un moment màgic que ens ha fet sentir molt ben acollits.
Després d’aquesta càlida rebuda, ens hem desplaçat fins a l’escola de Debro, on també ens han obert les portes amb molta il·lusió. Un grup d’alumnes ens ha fet de guia per les instal·lacions i ha convidat el nostre alumnat a participar en algunes de les seves classes, una experiència molt enriquidora que ens ha permès compartir metodologies i maneres d’aprendre.
La jornada escolar ha culminat amb una activitat conjunta a l’aula de música. Ha estat, sens dubte, un dels moments més emotius del dia: hem après a cantar una cançó en eslovè, hem compartit com anomenem les notes musicals en el nostre idioma i, finalment, tots plegats hem participat en un exercici de percussió corporal que recreava una tempesta. Una experiència intensa, divertida i molt significativa que ens ha unit encara més.
A la tarda, hem fet una excursió fins al Castell de Celje, una de les fortaleses medievals més importants del país. Aquest castell va ser la residència dels comtes de Celje, una de les famílies nobles més poderoses de la regió durant el segle XIV i XV, i encara avui conserva una gran part de la seva estructura original. Des de dalt, hem pogut gaudir d’unes vistes espectaculars de la ciutat de Celje i del paisatge que l’envolta, en un ambient tranquil i molt especial.
Tanquem el dia amb la sensació d’haver viscut una jornada plena d’activitats i emocions. Hem practicat l’anglès, hem compartit experiències i, sobretot, hem confirmat que hi ha un llenguatge universal que tothom entén: el de la música i el de l’amistat.
Day 3 – Music, Welcome and Discoveries in Slovenia
The third day of our trip to Laško began with a surprise that was as unexpected as it was moving. When we arrived at the school, we were welcomed with a concert that truly amazed us. The school choir performed several traditional Slovenian songs, full of sensitivity and cultural depth. In addition, a 9th-grade student (equivalent to 3rd year of secondary school) played a piece on the accordion, and a younger student got us actively involved by inviting us to dance to a popular song. It was a magical moment that made us feel truly welcomed.
After this warm reception, we headed to the school in Debro, where we were also greeted with great enthusiasm. A group of students guided us around the facilities and invited our students to take part in some of their classes. This was a very enriching experience that allowed us to share teaching methods and different ways of learning.
The school day ended with a joint activity in the music classroom. Without a doubt, this was one of the most emotional moments of the day: we learned to sing a song in Slovenian, shared how we name musical notes in our own language, and finally, all together, we took part in a body percussion activity that recreated a storm. It was an intense, fun, and highly meaningful experience that brought us even closer together.
In the afternoon, we went on an excursion to Celje Castle, one of the most important medieval fortresses in the country. It was once the residence of the Counts of Celje, one of the most powerful noble families in the region during the 14th and 15th centuries, and it still preserves much of its original structure. From the top, we enjoyed spectacular views over the city of Celje and its surrounding landscape, in a peaceful and truly special atmosphere.
We end the day with the feeling of having experienced a day full of activities and emotions. We practiced English, shared meaningful experiences and, above all, we confirmed that there is a universal language that everyone understands: the language of music and friendship.
