At our school, we’re excited to launch a new science project where 4th grade students will build their own weather stations! Using the micro:bit, a simple, programmable computer, students will learn to measure temperature, humidity, and light levels, all while developing key STEM skills.
With Microsoft MakeCode, students will program the micro:bit using block-based coding, making it easy to collect and display weather data. Along the way, they’ll explore weather science, practice problem-solving, and work as a team to build their stations.
This project offers a fun, hands-on way for students to discover how technology can help us observe the world.
We can’t wait to see their creativity in action!
