Theatre is an activity that fits perfectly into the school curriculum as it promotes, among other things, oral and corporal expression, artistic creation, social skills, teamwork, and self-esteem to face an audience. During this time we have learned to work together to improve our pronunciation, acquire new vocabulary, and above all to enjoy English.
The third year students presented the play Step Up. The play tells the story of a group of Hip Hopers who are looking for a new member. It focuses on an interview where different contestants show their talents dancing salsa, paso doble, break dance, and Hip Hop. After finding a new member, they decide to go shopping where they are assisted by a very polite shopkeeper. Then, they get very hungry and decide to go to eat at a restaurant where a member of the band warmly invites the group.
Finally, the band participates in the contest and ……….
It has been a very enriching project where we wanted to show the value of friendship, respect, empathy and teamwork.
