In the Dolors Almeda School, we give much importance to the developing arts for the boys and girls. In the case of dance, we believe that it is a psychomotor activity that is very motivating and perfect for forming coordination. The activity is an intellectual expression of feelings and emotions through movement.
All of this is communicated in the English language which makes our project enrich the students ability to learn the different aspects of Art and English. Every two years, we prepare a musical that all the primary grades participate in.
During the course, we have castings where our own students elect the protagonists and they work to prepare the songs, script, and choreography. The result is an awesome musical interpreted in English for all the girls and boys in the school.
So far we have done the Lion King, We will Rock You and A Musical Star with a great acceptance from the public. Over the years, this project has been getting bigger and consolidating.
“ A musical Star” is an original musical that featured the collaboration of the Municipal Music School of the city, which performed some of the music live. A group of former students also contributed on their own initiative with a special number.
The project is founded by the City Council.
A l’escola Dolors Almeda donem molta importància al desenvolupament de les arts en els infants. En el cas de la dansa, creiem que és una activitat psicomotriu molt motivadora i perfecte per fomentar la coordinació, l’activitat intel·lectual i l’expressió dels sentiments i emocions a través del moviment.
Tot això impartit en llengua anglesa, fa que el nostre projecte enriqueixi l’aprenentatge dels alumnes combinant diferents aspectes com són l’art i l’anglès.
Cada dos anys, es prepara un musical on participen tots els grups de primària. Durant el curs, es fan càstings on els alumnes trien els protagonistes i es treballen les cançons, els textos i les coreografies. El resultat és un impressionant musical interpretat íntegrament en anglès per tots els nens i nenes de l’escola. Fins ara hem estrenat The Lion King, We Will Rock You (Queen) i A Musical Star amb una gran acceptació per part del públic. “A Musical Star”, és un musical de creació pròpia que va comptar amb la col·laboració de l’Escola Municipal de Música de la ciutat que va interpretar part de la música en directe i amb un grup d’ex-alumnes, per iniciativa pròpia van col·laborar amb un número especial.
Amb els anys el projecte es va consolidant i fent gran.
El projecte rep el recolzament de l’Ajuntament.
