BIG AS LIFE: WHO AM I?
My name is Carla García and I was born on 28th April, 2004 in Lleida, with my twin sister.
Childhood: I don’t remember much about my early memories other than I started talking way before walking and I would love to get inside boxes or closets, so that means that I am very curious and quiet. I had and still have a loving family, above all, a very cool twin.
Growing flowers: When I started primary school, I was a lone kid. I had some friends, but I didn’t really like socializing because I was very shy, really, really shy.
I discovered a passion for drawing and painting, maybe it runs in the family, because my mom is pretty good at that; and I also developed quite a lot of interest in learning English and reading.
This is me: After starting high school, I lost nearly all of my shyness, but I still had my insecurities, like every teenager. I usually read books and watch movies and shows, so I’m a total geek. My mom told me that it’s all about growing up, that’s why I overcame my problems and learned from them. Thanks to that, I often drift off to my own world to escape real life, just for a few minutes. These things have shaped me into who I am and what really stuck with me, other than what my mom told me, is something one of my teachers said: There’s always a solution, even if you don’t see it.
Growing up with a twin sister also helped to define who I am, since we have very different personalities. As I am a pessimistic person, but see myself more of a realist, my sister is optimist and helps me see the positive things.
This is me. Carla García.
