In Jam Videogames

Els dies 6, 7 i 8 de maig, en un intens esdeveniment de 3 dies, sis alumnes de tercer junt amb altres sis de segon han participat en l’edició de la In Jam Babel 2025. La trobada l’han fet a un lloc emblemàtic, el Vapor de Prodis, un espai que fusiona la història industrial amb un enfoc modern i inclusiu. Han desenvolupat videojocs per abordar el racisme i el seu impacte en la salut mental.

Ha estat una excel·lent oportunitat per explorar, reflexionar i crear experiències interactives que promouen l’empatia, el benestar i la inclusió.

Fantàstica excursió a Port Aventura!

El dimecres passat, els alumnes de tercer d’ESO van gaudir d’un dia esplèndid a Port Aventura. Gràcies al temps, van poder pujar a moltes atraccions i s’ho van passar d’allò més bé. Van riure, van compartir moments divertits i van poder desconnectar per un dia de la rutina escolar. Les seves cares de felicitat ho diuen tot.

Sens dubte, ha estat una sortida per repetir! 🎢

English speaking countries project

Hello again!

The students of the elective subject English around the world have been looking for information to create a project about English-speaking countries. They have discovered that English is an official language in many countries worldwide, not just in the UK and the USA. The most prominent English-speaking countries include the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. In these nations, English is the primary language used for communication, education, and government. In addition to this, countries like South Africa, India, and Nigeria recognise English as an official language, often alongside others, due to historical ties to British colonisation.

Gingerbread houses

Today, the English Around the World elective course students from 3r d’ESO built and decorated these beautiful gingerbread houses!! As you can see in the pictures, the gingerbread houses are made from gingerbread panels glued together with royal icing and decorated with candy, chocolate, and other sweets🍫🍭🍬.

Would you like to know a little bit about this tradition? The tradition of decorated gingerbread houses began in Germany in the early 1800s, supposedly popularised after the not-so-Christmassy fairytale of Hansel and Gretel was published in 1812.

Visitem el CTR!

L’alumnat de 3r d’ESO ha visitat el Centre de Tractament de Residus (CTR) del Vallès Occidental. Han participat en una presentació interactiva on s’explica la relació de les activitats quotidianes que fem a casa amb relació als residus del que generem i la seva repercussió. Després hem pogut visitar les instal·lacions del CTR on han pogut veure la maquinària i el funcionament alhora de tractar els residus. Per acabar, hem fet un estudi en profunditat dels residus, analitzant i seleccionant de forma pràctica una bossa d’escombraries en les diferents fraccions existents.

Recipe contest!

In the elective course English Around the World, we have been working on the differences between the United Kingdom and Great Britain, among other things. We have also looked for sweet recipes typical of English-speaking countries and prepared a recipe contest.

In the following pictures, you can see the result of the contest. There were 3 prizes to the best video recipe, to the best recipe presentation, and to the best tasty recipe. All the recipes tasted delicious and the videos were great fun.

RACE (L’heroi de Berlín)

Last week our students went to Cinema Catalunya in Terrassa to watch the film RACE whose protagonist is Jesse Owens. His quest to become the greatest track and field athlete in history thrusts him onto the world stage of the 1936 Olympics, where he faces off against Adolf Hitler’s vision of Aryan supremacy. RACE is an enthralling film about courage, determination, and friendship, as well as an inspiring drama about one man’s fight to become an Olympic legend.

The students enjoyed the film and the nice walk to go and come back from the cinema.

If you haven’t seen this film, it’s a must!

Iniciem el curs a la natura!

L’alumnat de secundària ha començat el nou curs fent diferents excursions a la natura. Ha estat un dia molt bonic on han fet cohesió de grup i han pogut conversar entre ells i elles. Els de 1r d’ESO han anat al Llac Petit, els de 2n d’ESO a Can Candi, els de 3r d’ESO a La Mola, i els de 4t a La Pastora.

Encetem el curs amb una al·legoria a l’esforç i la cooperació. El camí és llarg i de vegades dur, però només el podrem superar si estem junts.

Avui hem anat al Diverbosc!

Benvolgudes famílies,

L’alumnat de 2n d’ESO hem anat a un bosc tancat a Cerdanyola, Diverbosc, on hem gaudit d’un dia a la natura fent diferents circuits de tirolines i passar-nos-ho bé per acomiadar el curs. Com podeu veure a les fotos ens ho hem passat molt bé!

Torneig d’escacs

Durant l’última setmana de maig, hem aprofitat les estones de pati de secundària per celebrar un torneig d’escacs.

64 alumnes s’han anat enfrontant en diferents eliminatòries, fins a la gran final, celebrada el passats 3 i 4 de juny. Les semifinals van estar molt ajustades, en un partit es van enfrontar el Tim Björnstad i el Wasim el Moulat i per un altre costat el Biel Rodenas i el Daniel Rodrigues. Van sortir vencedors el Wasim i el Daniel, els quals s’han enfrontat a la final, aconseguint alçar-se com a guanyador del torneig el Dani Rodrigues de 2nB.

 

Ha sigut una experiència molt positiva que l’any vinent repetirem!
