Enguany hem tingut l’oportunitat de participar en la 8a edició del projecte Hackató organitzat per la UPC i l’institut de tecnologia de Massachusetts, el MIT Edgerton Center (la universitat tecnològica més important del món).

Aquest projecte tecnològic va consistir en fer un projecte des de la concepció de la idea més boja que tenien passant per la realització de diferents prototips fins a la construcció de l’enginy definitiu. Durant 3 dies van estar treballant amb alumnes d’altres instituts que no coneixien en anglès i amb un mentor.

L’alumnat  s’ho va passar d’allò més bé i ja estem esperant la 9a edició de la Hackató!

Masterchef session

The MasterChef session in the optativa of 3r d’ESO was a fantastic experience. Students prepared a poster with all the instructions for their recipe, filmed a video while cooking, and finally brought their finished dishes to class. It was a creative, hands-on activity that combined teamwork, communication, and lots of enthusiasm. The results were delicious! 🍽️👏

Concurs de portes nadalenques

Ja tenim aquí el nostre concurs de portes nadalenques! L’alumnat ha estat treballant de valent i supermotivats la decoració de les portes de les seves aules. Cada grup ha posat tota la seva creativitat i il·lusió per poder destacar en el concurs d’aquest any i com podeu veure el nivell és espectacular!

Tot i que no ha estat gens fàcil pel jurat prendre una decisió, els guanyadors i guanyadores d’aquest any són la classe de 2n B de primer cicle, i les classes de 3r A i 3r C de segon cicle. Ha estat impossible tenir un guanyador només a segon cicle, hem tingut un empat tècnic.

L’enhorabona! 🥳🥳

4th of ESO students launch their own companies and products

This week, our 4th of ESO students took on an exciting challenge: creating their own company and launching a new product as part of their project-based learning unit. This product had to be invented from scratch, and they could use AI to create a photo of it to promote it. Below, you can see some examples of our little entrepreneurs.

This project not only strengthened their communication and critical-thinking skills, but also gave them a taste of what it means to turn an idea into a real business.

El Gran Recapte

El passat 7 de novembre el nostre centre va participar per segona vegada al Gran Recapte organitzat pel Banc d’Aliments. L’alumnat que participa en l’aprenentatge servei (APS) del Rebost ha pogut viure en primera persona la campanya de recollida d’aliments per a les persones que més ho necessiten, i han gaudit d’un aprenentatge molt real.

A més a més, durant aquesta setmana han anat al magatzem del Rebost per tal de classificar i recomptar tot el que s’ha recollit a Terrassa.

Creating our own Jack-o’-Lantern!

A few days ago, the students of the elective course English Around the World (3rd of ESO) explored one of the most iconic celebrations from the English-speaking world: Halloween! They discovered the origins of this festivity by playing a Halloween trivia challenge, where they learnt that Halloween comes from the ancient Celtic festival Samhain. Then, as you can see in the pictures, students worked together to design and carve a traditional, spooky and creative jack-o’-lantern🎃🕯️.

 

 

 

Cambridge First Certificate

Benvolgudes famílies,

Ens plau informar-vos que per segon any consecutiu al nostre centre s’ha realitzat el Cambridge First Certificate Exam i tots els alumnes que s’han presentat, l’han aprovat. Després d’estudiar l’anglès com a llengua estrangera des d’I3 fins a 4t d’ESO, l’alumnat ha tingut l’oportunitat de fer un examen que acredités el nivell B2 d’anglès. Aquest examen es va ser al nostre centre al mes de juny on van poder gaudir d’una planta sencera amb un ambient tranquil i familiar per a realitzar-lo. Després de 3 mesos esperant els resultats podem dir… Congratulations for having passed the First Certificate Exam 🥳🇬🇧!!
