This week, 5th graders worked on the figure of Wangari Maathai, on the occasion of International Women’s Day. With this activist, politician, environmentalist and Nobel Peace Prize, they have been able to learn that with perseverance and hard work we can achieve everything we set our minds to. With this activity they have been able to make competent use of the vocabulary and structures worked on during the last sessions. As a result, you can see these lapbooks that have served as support for their oral presentations. They’ve done a great job!
