This week the students of 5th grade did an experiment about the respiratory system! We opened the lungs of a sheep. We were able to see how they expand when we breathe in and how the bronchi and the bronchioles look from the inside. It was very interesting!

Dijous passat els alumnes de P6 vam anar a la Culla per conèixer la seva estació meteorològica. A Science Project hem estat treballant el temps i el clima i a la Culla vam poder veure tots els instruments de què havíem estat parlant. També vam fer alguns experiments per entendre com s’escalfa i es refreda l’aire i vam aprendre a fer l’observació del temps a ull nu.

This morning the students from 3rd to 6th grade had a very special morning! Kikirimuki productions came to school to represent a magic show, a pupet show and a storytelling for us. We learnt some vocabulary about outer space and we had a lot of fun!

Aquest matí els alumnes de 3r a 6è han tingut un matí d’allò més especial! La companyia Kikirimuki ha vingut a l’escola a representar tres espectacles per nosaltres: un espectacle de màgia, un de titelles i un conta contes. Hem après vocabulari sobre l’espai exterior i ens ho hem passat molt bé!

Last week we had the oportunity of seeing how the respiratory system works. Elena brought the lungs and trachea of a pig and we could see what happened when we breathe in and out. Then we opened them up to see how is the inside of the trachea, the bronchi and the bronchioles. We also discovered the difference between the trachea and the oesophagus.

La setmana passada vam tenir l’oportunitat de veure com funciona un sistema respiratori. L’Elena ens va portar els pulmons i la tràquea d’un porc i vam poder descobrir què passa quan respirem. Després els vam obrir i vam poder veure com són per dins la tràquea, els broquis i els bronquíols. També vam descobrir la diferència entre la tràquea i l’esòfag.

Simone told us about Thanksgiving festivities in the United States and then she prepared an activity for us: we had to write a letter to explain what are we thankful for in a turkey feather. We had our turkey’s in our class and we recorded a video to say thanks for all that we have.
La setmana passada vam celebrar Acció de Gràcies a l’escola. La Simone ens va explicar com celebren Thanksgiving als Estats Units i després ens va preparar una activitat: haviem d’escriure una carta per explicar perquè donem les gràcies en una ploma d’indiot. Tenim les nostres plomes en un indiot per decorar la classe i vam gravar un video per donar les gràcies per tot allò que tenim.

This week is our last English lesson. We have done a game called Escape the classroom. We had to solve puzzles to find a code and escape the classroom.
