Students have taken home every Swiss chard plant we have grown as a reward for keeping the school garden beautiful and healthy. Now, it’s time to enjoy the fruits of their hard work!
SWISS CHARD STIR-FRY
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch Swiss chard, washed and chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
- Add the Swiss chard and stir-fry until wilted.
- Season with soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- Serve immediately over rice or noodles.
Tip: For a more flavourful dish, consider adding other vegetables like carrots, broccoli, or mushrooms to the stir-fry.
