Today, Friday 17th of March, we celebrated St Patrick’s Day in English, as it is an Irish holiday. We explained the origin of the festivity in class, we learned typical vocabulary, we watched videos and sang songs, we played games on the digital board and in addition, we made a Leprechaun finger puppet (he comes from the Irish forests) and a multi-activity booklet: with vocabulary, word searches, mazes, mandalas… and where we finally express our gratitude.
The aim of these activities is to bring our students closer to Anglo-Saxon culture, especially from English-speaking countries around the world. We had a great time!!

Avui divendres 17 de març hem celebrat St Patrick’s Day des de l’àrea de llengua anglesa al ser una festivitat irlandesa. Hem explicat l’origen de la festivitat a classe, hem après vocabulari típic de la festivitat, hem vist vídeos i cantat cançons, hem jugat a jocs a la pissarra digital i a més a més, hem realitzat una titella de dit de Leprechaun (un follet dels boscos irlandesos) i un llibret multiactivitats: amb vocabulari, sopes de lletres, laberints, mandales…i on finalment hem agraït per què ens sentim afortunats.
L’objectiu d’aquestes activitats és apropar al nostre alumnat a la cultura anglosaxona, especialment als països de parla anglesa d’arreu del món. Ens ho hem passat molt bé!!
