Our year 5 students have become real experts in the elaboration of lapbooks!
A lapbook can be described as “a file folder that contains a variety of “mini books,” foldable, and other materials that cover detailed information about the lapbook’s central topic“. At the very beginning of the second term, our students started creating lapbooks as a way of interiorising the vocabulary of each unit from a more visual, creative and engaging way.
Now that we are about to finish this course, we can verify the benefits of this teaching-learning practice since students meaningfully acquire the target vocabulary while they strengthen their artistic abilities. Moreover, they have progressively gained autonomy and independence in the learning process which positively contributes to a proper achievement of the English subject.

Els alumnes de 5è s’han convertit en uns veritables experts en la creació de lapbooks. Un lapbook és una tècnica d’ensenyament-aprenentatge on l’alumnat recull en un full/cartolina, normalment doblegada i amb subapartats en el seu interior, informació rellevant sobre el tema que s’està treballant d’una forma visualment atractiva. A l’inici del segon trimestre, els nens i nenes de cinquè van començar a elaborar lapbooks com a mètode d’interiorització del vocabulari que es treballa a cada unitat d’una manera visual, creativa i motivadora.
Ara que s’apropa el final de curs, podem constatar els beneficis d’aquesta pràctica educativa ja que els alumnes mostren una assimilació molt significativa del vocabulari, alhora que potencien les seves habilitats artístiques. A més a més, mica en mica han anat guanyant autonomia i independència en el seu procés d’aprenentatge, fet que contribueix a un aprofitament realment positiu de les classes d’anglès.
