Happy Fall! Xmas is coming! During the last months we’ve working on two traditional fall festivities. We’re sure you know them! Halloween and Thanksgiving. Halloween is much more than monsters and ghosts. It takes us to ancient times when celtics celebrated the festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. Thanksgiving brings us back to the origins of The USA. Why we do talk about these festivities? Because it’s important to learn and respect all cultural manifestations to become citizens of the world!
Feliç tardor! Ja s’acosta el Nadal! Durant els darrers mesos hem estat treballant al voltant de dues festes tradicionals pròpies de la tardor: Halloween i Acció de Gràcies. Halloween és molt més que monstres i fantasmes. Ens trasllada a temps antics quan els celtes celebraven el festival de Samhain i la gent encenia fogueres i es posava disfresses per foragitar els fantasmes. Acció de Gràcies ens porta als orígens dels Estats Units d’Amèrica. Per què parlem d’aquestes festivitats? Perquè és important aprendre i respectar totes les manifestacions culturals er convertir-nos en ciutadans i ciutadanes del món!
