EUtopia Project Definition

jovenes

The main objective of our project is that our students work, understand and try to collaborate in achieving the objectives of the Europe 2020 project through a comparison between all partner countries, so this work could be reflected in the production of a collaborative documentary expressing their views on the problems of European society.

Students will try to define their own situation and look for solutions in their countries and then put them together with other partners through transnational meetings. The challenge is that they can think about themselves and learn from what happens in other countries with regard to these five (or six) topics (recognizing the common elements and characteristics).

For Eutopia project we have chosen to work on 5/6 objectives (depending on the final number of partners). Here you have a possible list of objectives (obviously, you can add whatever goals you feel like working):

1.  Link between the education and the labor market

2.   Fighting against early dropout

3.   Combating social exclusion

4. Immigration

5. Educative Innovation by means of the Information and communication technologies (ICT) which will result in an amelioration of the quality and the educational results.

6. Healthy and environment behaviours

Each country will choose a topic and will be responsible for preparing the meeting on it in which we will share the ideas of all members and the work previously done by the participating students (we have to define it) and the final result (of the documentary) of that topic.

By visiting the various European countries the students will have an idea how civilization problems can be solved in different parts of Europe in order to see similarities and differences. Students of different ages will come up with different products involving different subjects (we still have to decide which but prioritizing audio-visual material so that the end result can be a documentary).

The students will learn from each other´s works. The students language to communicate will be English. By working on the project, students, teachers and institutions will feel as a part of the European Union, but also notice their different needs. We will be benefited from the multitude of viewpoints all participants added to our project, broadening our own perspectives.

The partnership will be planned for two school years: 2015/2016 and 2016/2017. If we are are 6 countries we can do 3 meetings each academic year, where all the partners can discuss given problems and compare the information they gather in their host countries.
