Last 24th May INS Josep Brugulat held the first English Day. It was a very attractive morning in which 6è primary students from ESC de Sant Esteve de Guialbes, ESC La Vall del Terri, ESC Can Puig, ESC Alzina Reclamadora took part in different workshops and activities speaking English.

The tasks had been created by 1st ESO students in order to organize a day of English immersion. Among the range of activities offered there were plays, scavenger hunts, bingos, quizzes, contests, traditional British games, a treasure hunt, songs, problem solving activities and a lot more of hands-on activities, such as how to make play-dough, crafts, a cut-and-paste workshop and a small workshop on how to create your own short story.

Just before the break, a small concert in English took place and, at noon, the primary students enjoyed a traditional British packed lunch that consisted of a sandwich, some fruit, a bar of chocolate and a bag of crisps.

The day was enjoyed by all the students and teachers who took part and we all hope to hold the activity again next year. English Day is a coordination and an agreed proposal with Servei Educatiu del Pla de l’Estany (CRP), INS Josep Brugulat and ESC de Sant Esteve de Guialbes, ESC La Vall del Terri, ESC Can Puig and ESC Alzina Reclamadora.
