We begin the day in the Cinematographic Laboratory class with Professor Arcopinto. The professor gives an introduction to the students about film composition using chroma key. He takes a tour of the history of cinema, giving examples of films that have represented technical advances in this composition, and showing various techniques for making sets.

Comencem la jornada a la classe de Laboratori cinematogràfic amb el professor Arcopinto. El professor fa una introducció a l’alumnat sobre la composició cinematogràfica utilitzant el croma. Fa un recorregut d’història del cinema posant exemples de pel.lícules que han suposat avenços tècnics en aquesta composició, i mostrant diverses tècniques per fer escenaris. 

Then, he suggests that the students make a small scene. The students organize themselves to be able to make it (actress, lighting manager, cameraman, director, tap dancer, set assistants, etc.). After several takes, they go down to the garden to film the background and create the effect of wind by moving the tree. 

Finally, in class, they do the post-production with the editing program, which one student explains to the others.

A continuació, proposa a l’alumnat fer una petita escena. Els alumnes s’organitzen per poder-la realitzar (actriu, responsable de llums, de càmera, director, claquetista, ajudants del set…). Després de diverses preses, baixen al jardí per rodar el fons i fer l’efecte del vent tot movent l’arbre. 

Finalment a classe, fan la postproducció amb el programa d’edició, que un alumne explica als altres. 

At noon, we have the opportunity to observe a workshop at the Cinema Museum. It is a workshop aimed at primary school children on the Stop-motion technique. Students model characters with plasticine and take photographs to create a simple scene.

Al migdia, tenim la oportunitat de fer l’observació d’un taller al Museu del Cinema. Es tracta d’un taller dirigit a l’educació Primària sobre la tècnica de Stop-motion. L’alumnat modela personatges amb plastilina i fan les fotografies per aconseguir realitzar una senzilla escena.

During the afternoon, we attended the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Instituto Cerale (afternoon shift). We were able to visit an exhibition of photographs taken by the students, a collection of video art and a musical exhibition. The director and several teachers made speeches to value the effort of the students who take advantage of the opportunity to continue their studies. In addition, an exhibition of old machines related to the audiovisual world was opened to the public (photo and video cameras, printing press, lithographic printing, etc.).

Durant la tarda, hem assistit a la celebració del 20è aniversari de l’Instituto Cerale (el torn de tarda). Hem pogut visitar una exposició de fotografies fetes per l’alumnat, recull de video-art i una mostra musical. La directora i diversos professors han fet intervencions per valorar l’esforç de l’alumnat que aprofiten l’oportunitat per seguir els seus estudis. A més, s’ha obert al públic una exposició de màquines antigues relacionades amb el món audiovisual (càmeres de fotos i videos, impremta, impressió litogràfica…).
