This month the 6th grade class has been doing an experiment in Science with our language assistant. Pupils, in groups of five, have created density models with different liquids, such as soap, alcohol, water, honey, and sunflower oil.
It’s been a great way to practice the scientific method where pupils can create hypotheses and arrive to conclusions, making them reflect on what they had predicted at the beginning of the session. Here are some photos of the towers of colours they have made.
It’s amazing observing the faces of the kids while they watch how the liquids interact with each other.
Again, Science is a good opportunity to put pupils in an environment to safely explore new ideas with simple materials.
