Speaking: THE RED DRAGON PUB EVENT

I am proud! So proud!

This year my students from the Speaking Point have done a very impressive and amazing job. They have prepared a final course big show named “The Red Dragon Pub” with theaters, songs, a one man show, a game and a poem. This has been a great job of learning English by doing, by using creativity and the arts. A very different way of learning English by creating and playing.

One group (Merche, Mary and Assumpta) has sung the song “Dancing Queen” by Abba, another group (Frank and Jaume) has sung the song California Blue by Roy Orbison, and another (Montse, Marta, Carme, Pedro and Rosario) “Soy tu profesor de Inglés” by el niño del Ukelele. The poem was What is Pink? by Christina Rossetti (Marta and Carme). One student (Juanmi) has prepared its own One man show about a comparison between some aspects of America and Spain.  And we have enjoyed two theaters representations, one named the Brave Lady (Irene, Maria José and Joana) about a women having troubles at the airport, and another named “Puesta a punto” about a lady wanting to learn the rhythm dancing in a gym (by Nuria and Joana).

Also we had the opportunity to play all together to the Alphabet Quiz, the very famous game about definitions and letters. One student (Montse) has created all the definitions of the words and have created the circle with the letters on it.

Everything with the great owners of the pub introducing every masterpiece: Rosario and Frank. They were the very much incredible hosts of this incredible show!
