Divendres dia 4 d’octubre, gràcies a la col·laboració amb l’Escola Bambú (Casa Àsia), l’alumnat de 4t d’ESO va celebrar una excepcional sessió d’intercanvi en anglès amb un grup de joves maoris procedents de Auckland (Tāmaki Makaurau en maori), Nova Zelanda. Vam compartir aspectes culturals, gastronòmics i artístics (catalans i maoris) i, a continuació, vam ballar algunes danses tradicionals: sardanes, poi i haka, per amenitzar la visita. Kia ora.

The 4th of October some Maori people from New Zealand came to our school. They explained to us about their culture and we explained to them about our culture. I really enjoyed the activity and I learned a lot with them. But what I most enjoyed was their songs and dancings, it was very beautiful, and when they taught us how to dance the Haka, their traditional dance, I felt very happy and I had a really good time doing it. When they first arrived, I was really curious about what and how they were going to teach us about their culture and to be honest, I was completely amazed by their singing and dancing and all their traditions. I really loved speaking to them and dancing with them. They were so nice and friendly, it was so much fun. J. D. S.
Two weeks ago some boys and girls from a school in New Zealand came to our school. We explained all about our culture and they did the same to us, it was a great and entertaining experience because we could know more about our culture and know a different one. But what I loved the most was to talk with them, I felt so comfortable talking with them, they were so kind and friendly and thanks to this activity now I continue in contact with one of these boys and I think this is the best thing I took away from this experience.
