Erasmus +

Today we went on a fieldtrip! We took a bus and we started by visiting a quarry called Brønnøy Kalk, where they extract marble that they later use in the paper industry. They select the marble without impurities and polish it before transporting it in large trucks. The sulfates and the materials extracted from the process are thrown into a kind of turquoise pool and over time, the water is taken to a nearby fjord. They use different tools to gloss over the stone and make its surface smoother and shiner.

We stopped a while after near a lake with amazing views and took a picture of the whole Erasmus+ team here in Norway.

Afterwards, we stopped by a pizza place named Milano in Bronnoysund, where all the teams joined together for a hearty lunch while socializing.

The final part of our trip took place at Torghatten Mountain, famous for its big hole, where we went to hike up the hill to enter the cave. This natural structure was formed during the ice age, the cave pierces throughout the whole mountain, making a natural hole in it.

Once we got to Hommelsto, each of us went home with our hosts and had dinner, and afterwards we met up in a bar with other friends and ended up going to someone’s house to hang out and share more moments and jokes together!
